Two Liberian Journalists Sack for Stealing

The Management of the NEW VISION Newspaper has with immediate effect dismissed its Business and Finance officer, Mr. Fuflay Nyenkan for gross financial dishonest practices, corruption and financial improprieties. He has criminally depleted the institutions two accounts at Ecobank and LBDI through an illegal means.


Mr. Nyenkan’s fraudulent financial acts have seriously affected the smooth operations of the NEW VISION Newspaper, subjugating the paper into an unwarranted financial constraint. His corrupt, dishonest t and fraudulence acts have embarrassed the institution, the released noted, stressing that he cannot be trusted especially with finances.


The Management is also warning the public that anyone doing business with him in the name of the New Vision Newspaper would be doing so at his/ her own risk, saying that this must claim the immediate attention of all institutions, especially Ecobank, LBDI, MICAT, publishers Association of Liberia, Press Union of Liberia, Heads of media houses and others are to treat this decision with serious and uncompromising consideration.


The Management of the NEW VISION Newspaper has instituted major and stringent changes and reforms at the institution to enhance accountability, productivity and efficiency and moreover credibility in line with its objectives to serve prudently the largest Liberian society.


In its release issued in Monrovia, the Management of the NEW VISION Newspaper has strongly reiterated that as a part of the critical media segment of the society and strong critic of corruption and other ills of the Liberian society, it wouldn’t conduct any of its staff member to engage in any unscrupulous and unacceptable acts.


Meanwhile, the Management of the NEW VISION Newspaper in May this year with immediate effect dismissed its Business and Finance Officer, Fuflay Nyenkan for corruption practices, financial impropriety, stealing while Jacob T. Newton has in November 2015 dismissed immediately for stealing and malpractices. The management is strongly warning the general publish of doing any business in the name of New Vision Newspaper, as Fuflay Nyenkan and Jacob Newton cannot be trusted and are crooked, dishonest and very corrupt.


The two are in possessions of the Newspaper identification (ID Cards) and other essential documents which they have refused to turn over following their immediate dismissals. The New Vision Management reiterates that any one especially media houses and reporters doing business with Fuflay Nyenkan and Jacob Newton in the name of the institution will be at their own risk, the paper’s management take no responsibility for their actions.


The NEW VISION Newspaper on Thursday, 16 December 2004 made its debut on the newsstand with the expression of its commitment to serve prudently within the media community of Liberia.


The paper has survived all odds, weathered the storm and still remains persistent on the newsstand, with numerous achievements including being the first to dedicate its back cover page to sports and the critics of public officials, and unearthed dozen of malpractices in both public and private sectors.
