Sinoe County Senator Milton Teahjay is urging Liberians to ensure that peace and security are sustained in the country.Senator Teahjay observed that sustaining peace and security is the responsibility of all Liberians, no matter their status in society.
The Sinoe County lawmaker made the call Friday at the Second Public Debate organized by the Up-front Debate Crew held in the auditorium of the University of Liberia on Capitol Hill. The Up-front Debate Crew is a local organization that organizes debates on critical national issues.
He observed that no government can 100 percent address problems confronting a country, noting that this is not unique to Liberia which is part of the global village. He stressed that Liberia is recovering from 14 years of devastating civil conflict and that government is doing everything possible to ensure that the living condition of Liberians improve for the better.
Senator Teahjay emphasized that Liberians should work together to move their nation forward, rather than compromising its growth and development, and pledged to work with any group of people to advance the development agenda of the country.
