The Grand Kru County branch of the ruling Unity Party has called on citizens of the county to become more vigilant in the fight to prevent the spread of the Ebola disease in the county. One of the brains behind the undertaking is the former Superintendent and senatorial candidate, Mrs. Rosalind Segbe Tonne Sneh. The party said when citizens become actively involved in this national endeavor they would be helping to enhance government’s effort to fight the disease.

The local chairman of the party, Joseph Togba, made the call recently in Barclayville when he presented to the County Ebola Task Force a consignment of assorted sanitation materials valued at over US$1,000.
Mr. Togba told the Task Force that the donation, which also include 16 mega phones, three cartons of chlorine and a carton of Clorox, was the UP’s way of identifying with the Task Force in its effort to contain the spread of the disease in the county.
Receiving the items, the acting County Superintendent, T. Michael Wisseh, thanked the party for its concern and promised to properly use the materials to help prevent the spread of the virus.
