The resident told journalists that since the outbreak of Ebola in March, the Representative has failed to hold a general meeting at the district to seek their collective views on the best approaches to combat the virus, alleging that Mr. Snowe is not people centered oriental.
The embarrassing incident occurred early this week. The residents said the booing was their way of expressing their disappointment in his performance at the legislature and also his recent latest comments against his colleagues at the legislature.
Some of the angry youths of the ELWA community said the jeered legislator has failed to adequately represent them their interest at the legislature, especially since the outbreak of the deadly Ebola virus in Liberia. Presently, there is an abandoned body of a lady killed by Ebola, without any assistance to remove the deceased while the family continue to suffer the effect.
The resident accused Representative Snow of being only interested in personal benefit, saying that their the various roads in the district are in a very deplorable conduction while the Mr. Snowe has reported shown no concern.
One resident Mamie Wreh propounded that by saying: What I want to say here is that this Lawmaker we elected to represent us is not doing much, he has failed to push the interest of the residents of this district.
“We heard our lawmaker who should be pushing issues in our interest speaking for the executive against his own colleagues, we think he has lost focus of what he should be doing at the legislature.”
At a program marking the launch of the district’s Ebola task force the angry residents described the lawmakers’ action as belated because since the outbreak of the Ebola virus Rep. Snowe has shown no interest in us instead he has been fussing with his colleagues at the legislature.
However, an associate of the Representative has vehemently rejected the claims, saying that Mr. Snowe has demonstrated leadership ability and provided numerous assistances to the people of the district but falls short to name these assistances.
